The Varsity baseball team was dealt a convincing loss for the first time this season losing to Farmington 12-2 Saturday morning in Farmington. Layne Gusler was dealt his first loss giving uo six runs in the first two innings on seven hits. Relievers Joey Thayer and Kevin Yanos had no better luck cooling off Farmington’s hot bats as they scored three runs off each of them in the next three innings. Only bright spot for the Warriors was that Dominic Moore went 2-2 at the plate in the five inning shortened game.

In the second game, Blake Harris had a one hitter going into the bottom of the sixth inning but gave up three runs on two hits, a hit batter and a Warrior error as Oxford won the second game 3-2.  The Warriors had seven hits in the game all by different players. The Warriors threatned in the top of the seventh when Layne Gusler doubled to left field with Andrew Dayfield on board and two outs. Next batter Jake Przybylo unfortunately flew out to centerfield ending the game.
